The mother of one revealed that she encountered the late singer, Mohbad, 12 years ago when they were both adolescents on the social media application 2Go. She indicated that their relationship commenced as friends before evolving into a romantic involvement.
In a recent interview with TVC, Omowunmi stated, “I met him when I was 13 on 2Go. That was 12 years ago. I used to be a rapper and he was a singer as well, so we started as friends. At that time, we were both very young; he was 15. He proposed a relationship to me, and I accepted. Subsequently, we married and had a child together.”
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023. Less than 24 hours following his tragic death, his father, Joseph Aloba, interred him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy due to the controversies surrounding his death.
The results of the autopsy are currently pending. However, Joseph Aloba, the father of the deceased, previously stated that the body of the singer would only be reinterred once the autopsy results are released and a DNA test is conducted on his grandson, Liam, to confirm his true paternity.
