Court Grant Singer Portable N2m Bail Adjourns to March 5th

A Magistrate Court in Ogun State granted controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, better known as Portable, bail worth N2 million on Thursday.

The charges against Portable pertain to the alleged assault of government officials.

The musician faces five counts of charges, which include conspiracy, assault, and restriction while armed with cutlasses and firearms, as well as conduct likely to cause harm.

Portable has pleaded not guilty to all accusations.

Following Portable's plea of not guilty, his legal representative, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, requested that the court grant bail. Ayodele expressed the defendant's remorse to the court, leading Magistrate O. L. Oke to grant bail set at N2 million, contingent upon the provision of one surety. The case has been adjourned until March 5 for further proceedings.
