The Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order of Benue State, Fidelis Bemsem Mnyim, Esq., hosted a meeting over the weekend for constituents from Makurdi North.
The meeting is part of Attorney General Mnyim's leadership tradition, which involves engaging with the North Bank community periodically. The meeting was well-attended by local community members and leaders affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the meeting, representatives of the North Bank community, through their leaders, expressed their gratitude to the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for the infrastructure improvements, enhanced security, and various development initiatives that have been implemented in their area.
Moreover, the APC leaders, including ward chairpersons and women leaders, commended the governor for his youth-centric governance approach, particularly noting his historical appointments of youth within his administration.
They asserted that it is under Governor Alia's leadership that the notion of "Youths as leaders of tomorrow" has transitioned into a tangible reality.
In his remarks, the Attorney General conveyed his appreciation to Governor Alia for facilitating discussions regarding his re-election in 2027, highlighting the positive impact of the governor's initiatives on community relations.
Mnyim acknowledged the unprecedented appointment of three sons from the Ihyarev ethnic group as commissioners, asserting that the Ihyarev people are committed to reciprocating support for the governor in the forthcoming 2027 gubernatorial election.
The meeting concluded with attendees enthusiastically chanting, "NO ALIA, NO BENUE."
