Why Victor Boniface's Transfer Agreement with Al Nassr Was Terminated

The highly anticipated transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface to Al Nassr has been terminated.

Boniface, who has been making waves with his impressive performances was on the verge of joining the Saudi Arabian club. The prospect of the talented forward joining Al Nassr was met with enthusiasm from millions of football fans.

Despite the negotiations being at an advanced stage, it has come to light that Al Nassr did not provide the requisite final approval to complete the transfer.

However, as negotiations continued, it became evident that the club’s management exhibited hesitation in granting approval, ultimately resulting in the cancellation of the transfer agreement.

Reasons Behind the Termination of Victor Boniface's Transfer Agreement with Al Nassr

The transfer of Boniface appeared to be highly probable following Al Nassr's agreement with Bayer Leverkusen on a transfer fee of €60 million. Reports from Sky Sports Germany confirmed that the Nigerian striker successfully completed his medical examination and finalized all contractual and salary details, including an annual net wage of €15 million.

However, the transfer has encountered last-minute complications, despite Boniface being prepared to depart for Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr's delegation.

The reason for this delay seems to stem from Al Nassr's parallel negotiations with Aston Villa regarding the transfer of Jhon Duran. Sources suggest that, while Bayer Leverkusen awaits the final signatures to validate the deal, Al Nassr is still deliberating whether to proceed with signing Boniface or Duran.

Duran, aged 21, has already reached a personal agreement with the Saudi club, and his representatives remain optimistic about finalizing the transfer. Aston Villa has received a €70 million offer for the Colombian forward, which exceeds the agreed fee for Boniface.

Bayer Leverkusen is now left in a state of uncertainty regarding Al Nassr's commitment to the proposed transfer and is awaiting confirmation on whether the deal will proceed.
