Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has officially designated Monday, October 7, 2024, as a public holiday for educators in the state.
The decision, announced by the state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Moddibo Kawu, is in commemoration of World Teachers’ Day (WTD).
The governor expressed his admiration for the teachers' contributions to advancing human development through the provision of quality education and the cultivation of intellect.
He emphasized that this holiday is a token of gratitude for the dedication and hard work of teachers in both the public and private sectors.
It is the governor's sincere wish that teachers enjoy a restful and meaningful holiday during this time.
