President Tinubu Expresses Condolences to NNPC Following Helicopter Crash Tragedy

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the leadership of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Board following the tragic loss of its personnel in a helicopter crash off the coast of Bonny Finima in Port Harcourt.

The President has also communicated his sympathies to the families and loved ones of the NNPC staff and crew members who lost their lives in the incident that occurred on Thursday, October 24.

In a heartfelt message of condolence disseminated by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu conveyed his "deepest sympathies" to all those in mourning.

He stated, "President Tinubu commiserates with the NNPC Board and the families of the victims aboard the helicopter in Port Harcourt."

The President expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, pledging his commitment to providing support during this challenging period.

Tinubu has also instructed the intensification of search and rescue operations. He called for a thorough investigation into the incident, urging military personnel and relevant agencies, including the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, to collaborate on recovery efforts and the investigation.
