National Grid Faces Its Third Collapse in Just One Week

On Saturday morning at approximately 8:16, the national grid experienced its third collapse within a week, resulting in a cessation of power generation.

Notably, power generation had been disrupted earlier in the week on Monday and Tuesday during restoration efforts.

According to our correspondent's findings, power generation was recorded at 3,042 megawatts at 8 am, reaching a peak of 3,968MW at 7 am.

Subsequently, there was a significant decrease in generation to 47MW by 9 am. At that time, power distribution companies were allocated 0.00MW of power.

Regrettably, the specific cause of this collapse remains undetermined as efforts to reach the Transmission Company of Nigeria have been unsuccessful.
