Darlington Okoye, a singer, comedian, and content creator known as Speed Darlington, was recently apprehended and confined following an accusation of cyberstalking made by Damini Ogulu, a fellow musician widely recognized as Burna Boy.
The Nigerian authorities have subsequently granted Darlington bail. It is reported that he was released to his legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, subsequent to complying with the conditions set forth by the police at the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team’s Department in the Guzape area of Abuja.
Darlington's arrest, which occurred last Friday in Lagos, culminated in his detention in Abuja by the IRT team on charges of cyberstalking Burna Boy.
Deji Adeyanju has emphasized that the allegations presented in the petition against Darlington lacked substantial evidence to justify his arrest. He is actively working towards securing Darlington's release on bail at the earliest opportunity.
It is worth noting that although the police were unable to provide Adeyanju with a copy of the petition, they permitted him to review and comprehend its contents.
