James Ogaba Oche has officially commenced his role as the Benue State Commissioner for the Public Complaints Commission, PCC. He was appointed to this position by President Bola Tinubu a few months ago. Before this appointment, Oche held the position of executive chairman of Ado Local Government Area.
In his address upon assuming office in Makurdi, Oche emphasized his commitment to conducting impartial investigations on behalf of individuals who have grievances against the actions or inactions of government and private institutions.
He stated, "Today, I officially assume office as the Benue State Commissioner for the Public Complaints Commission, PCC, and I wish to emphasize that the essence of the commission will be driven with passion across the state."
Oche also highlighted the prioritization of staff welfare under the joint leadership of the Honourable Chief Commissioner, Rt. Hon. Bashir Abubakar. He urged the commission's staff to work diligently to achieve its objectives and expressed confidence in the recognition of the Benue State Office of the Public Complaints Commission for its accomplishments under his stewardship.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve, Oche acknowledged the grace upon his life and thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Assembly, and the government and people of Benue State for the privilege. He specifically recognized the Minority Leader of the Senate, Sen. Comr. Abba Moro (Ph.D), for his steadfast commitment to ensuring Oche's appointment.
Oche reiterated the commission's objectives, including the promotion of social justice for individuals and the provision of a viable option for those seeking redress against injustices stemming from administrative errors, omissions, or abuses by government officials or private entities.
He affirmed, "The commission in Benue State, under my watch, will champion impartial investigations on behalf of complainants aggrieved by the actions or inactions of government and private institutions."
