Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing Tems to become the Nigerian artist with the highest number of charting songs in the history of the US Billboard Hot 100.
This accomplishment was realized as Burna Boy broke the tie with Tems, following the debut of 'We Pray' by Cold Play featuring Burna Boy, Little Simz, Elyanna, and TiniStoessel, which entered the chart at No. 87 this week.
This latest entry marks Burna Boy's sixth appearance on the Hot 100 chart.
In comparison, Tems has five entries, while Wizkid, the first Nigerian artist to debut, has four entries.
Additionally, Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay have one entry each. Notably, Burna Boy is just one song away from surpassing South Africa's Seether to become the African artist with the highest number of Billboard Hot 100 chart entries of all time.
