The strike, initiated by the state varsity ASUU on September 11, 2024, brought all academic activities to a standstill.
Following a series of meetings with the state government, an agreement was reached during the executive council meeting presided over by Governor Inuwa Yahaya on Thursday.
An allocation of N947 million was approved to address staff promotions and earned academic allowances, EAA.
The resolution of this matter is expected to allow for the resumption of academic activities in the university in the coming days, as preparations for the reopening are already underway.
Deputy Governor Manassah Jatau, speaking on behalf of the Governor, expressed confidence that the signed agreement would promote greater collaboration between the two parties, ensuring uninterrupted teaching and learning at the state-owned university.
