ABOUT WAEC: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is a legally established examination board responsible for determining and conducting essential examinations in the English-speaking West African countries.
Founded in 1952, the council administers exit examinations in five English-speaking West African countries, namely Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and the Gambia.
Additionally, the council manages an endowment fund aimed at supporting education in West Africa through lectures and providing assistance to those who are financially unable to afford education.
