In pursuit of the goal to annually train five million Nigerians in diverse skills, the federal government has initiated the second phase of its laptop donation program for secondary school students across the country.
Ms. Abiola Arogundade, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Education, launched the program on September 26 at Government Secondary School, Tundun Wada, Abuja, presenting 50 laptops to students.
Commencing last July, the program is a collaborative effort with the private sector aimed at advancing technical and vocational education. Arogundade emphasized that the initiative is in line with President Tinubu’s vision to enhance skill development, with a focus on transitioning education towards practical, hands-on learning in a technology-driven economy.
The Presidential aide assured students of continued future donations, ensuring widespread access to resources for skill development. Additionally, Afriobe Ltd, a technical partner, is committed to providing state-of-the-art tablets to talented students, further equipping them for success in the digital age.
