Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta acknowledged that Kelechi Iheanacho is currently encountering challenges in finding his top form at the club, as reported by Circleson Television.
The Nigerian forward joined Sevilla during the summer with a strong reputation, having previously established himself as a quality striker during his tenure in the Premier League with Manchester City and Leicester City.
However, Iheanacho has struggled to meet expectations, failing to register a goal or an assist in four league appearances for the Rojiblancos.
Pimienta expressed confidence in Iheanacho's potential to rediscover his peak form, stating, "He (Iheanacho) possesses quality, but he commenced training individually a month behind schedule. He is currently adapting. His two weeks with the national team, during which he did not play, did not contribute positively to his situation."
"We need to instill confidence in him. Considering his track record, he is a player of high quality, and it is only a matter of time before we witness his best performance. He has the capacity and quality to achieve this."
Iheanacho will be aiming to open his goal account in the Spanish top flight when Sevilla confronts Athletico Bilbao at the San Mames on Sunday.
