- Visit the JAMB admission portal at https://futo.edu.ng/.
- Log in to your JAMB profile with your username and password.
- Scroll down, then click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
- Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the appropriate column.
- Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to discern your FUTO admission status.

ABOUT FUTO:
The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) is a federal government university located in Owerri West, Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Nigeria. Situated within the communities of Eziobodo, Ihiagwa, Obinze, Okolochi, and Emeabiam, it stands as the premier federal university of technology in the South-East and South-South regions of Nigeria.
Established in 1980 by executive fiat with the appointment of the first provisional council by Nigeria's first Executive President, Shehu Shagari, FUTO is the oldest university of technology in Nigeria. It was the first of three such universities established by the Federal Government of Nigeria, aiming to set up a University of Technology in each geo-political region, particularly in states without a conventional university.
FUTO commenced with an initial enrollment of 225 students and a staff of 60, comprising 28 academic and 32 non-academic members. Similar to other federal universities in Nigeria, FUTO is overseen by a Chancellor, typically a royal figure, and a Vice-Chancellor responsible for the university's daily operations.
The University Senate serves as the highest decision-making body of the university. FUTO students are commonly referred to as Futoites, with the current student population exceeding 25,000. Moreover, FUTO boasts a faculty of over 50 professors. The incumbent vice-chancellor is Professor Nnenna Nnannaya Oti.
