Eligibility Criteria for JAMB 2025/2026 UTME Registration
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration serves as the entry point for Nigerian students aiming to enter tertiary institutions. To register for UTME, certain documents are required.
- National Identification Number (NIN) Unlike previous years, NIN is now a mandatory requirement for JAMB registration. Candidates must possess a unique 11-digit number, serving as proof of citizenship. Candidates must enroll for NIN at any NIMC enrollment center before registering for JAMB UTME.
- O’level Results Possessing O’level results is crucial before registering for JAMB 2025. Candidates must have at least five (5) O’Level Credit passes, including English Language. Credit in Mathematics is necessary for science-based and social science programs. Candidates with pending results can also register.
- Programme Eligibility Candidates need to refer to the JAMB Brochure to understand the requirements for their chosen programs before commencing the online registration process. The brochure can be accessed at www.jamb.gov.ng/ibass.
- JAMB ePIN Candidates can purchase the ePIN from authorized outlets such as banks, online payment platforms, and CBT centers. Each PIN can only be used once for registration.
- Recommended Novel The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has designated "The Life Changer" novel as the official JAMB 2025 novel, which is mandatory for all candidates. The cost of this text is N500. The novel can be obtained from JAMB-approved CBT centers in your state.
