The Take It Back Movement, a prominent organizer of the nationwide EndBadGovernance protest, has announced plans for a one-million-person demonstration to take place on Saturday in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.
Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon, the National Coordinator of the movement, made this announcement in a statement released on Thursday in Abuja.
He stated, “The Take It Back Movement (TIB), alongside other organizers and organizations, will lead a significant one-million-person protest in each of the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja on August 10.
"This event will mark a critical point in our nationwide EndBadGovernanceInNigeria campaign, which commenced on August 1, 2024.
"What began as a planned 10-day protest has developed into a sustained and widespread movement, attracting participants from every corner of Nigeria and the diaspora.”
CIRCLESONTV reported that the protest, which seeks to bring attention to the hardships afflicting citizens and began on August 1, is expected to conclude on Saturday, August 10.
Although the protest was infiltrated by criminal elements, it saw a significant turnout across the country, particularly in the northern states.
Despite President Bola Tinubu's plea in a nationwide address on Sunday, urging the protesters to stand down and allow his administration more time, the protest has persisted in Abuja, Kano, and other parts of the country.
