Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, recently discussed the process for impeaching Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Sani emphasized that a senator must engage colleagues and secure sufficient support for Akpabio's impeachment. He cautioned that failure in this endeavor could result in the suspending senator being barred until the subsequent election.
Sani's remarks follow activist Aisha Yesufu's call for Akpabio's impeachment due to his comments ahead of the EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.
Yesufu urged senators to take action and implied that Akpabio's successor could potentially emerge from within the Senate.
This development coincides with Akpabio's statement about protesters and his reference to President Bola Tinubu.
