North Central APC Forum rejects Ganduje’s dissolution of Benue executives

The North Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has expressed its strong opposition to the dissolution of the Benue State executives of the party by the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The Forum emphasized that Ganduje's actions are unwarranted, highlighting that there is no legitimate basis for the suspension of the executive members from Benue.

This decision is especially contentious considering Benue's position in the North Central region, which has consistently resisted Ganduje's chairmanship. Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, the Forum's Chairman, voiced this stance during an interaction with journalists in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Zazzaga, who also played a role in the Presidential Campaign Council during the last election, underscored the significance of the executive members that Ganduje seeks to dissolve, noting their instrumental contribution to securing victories for the APC in the Benue State governorship and other key positions. Additionally, he pointed out that there is a court order from a High Court in Makurdi, Benue State, restraining Ganduje from dissolving the state executive, an order that was disregarded by the Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC).

Accusing Ganduje of showing contempt for court orders, Zazzaga highlighted the legal ramifications this poses for the party, including ongoing court cases and corruption allegations from Ganduje's tenure as Kano State Governor. He emphasized the refusal of the North Central APC to accept the dissolution of the Benue executives, signaling a readiness among stakeholders from the region to take further action if the decision is not reversed.

Zazzaga cautioned that Ganduje's actions are detrimental to the APC, warning of potential long-term damage if decisive measures are not taken to address the situation promptly.
