FUOYE Urges female Students and Staff to Remain Indoors During "Oro Festival"

The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has issued a safety advisory, advising all female staff and students of the institution to observe a period of indoor stay from August 7th to 9th, 2024, in light of the Oro festival scheduled to take place in the community.

During the festival, which is set to occur from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am daily, movement for women will be restricted as a precautionary measure to ensure their safety and well-being.

The university's directive, articulated in a memorandum entitled "Notice to All Female Staff and Students on Ikole Campus" and signed by Senior Assistant Registrar Ibukunoluwa O. Alamu, underscores the need for all female staff and students at the Ikole campus to observe a stay-indoors protocol from Wednesday, 7th August, to Friday, 9th August 2024, given the scheduled 'Oro' festival in the Ikole-Ekiti community.

This measure is put forth for the collective benefit and awareness of the concerned individuals.
