The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced it 2024/2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise date.

Candidates who have selected the Federal University of Technology, Owerri as their First Choice University in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) are hereby invited to the Screening Exercise for admissions.

It is important to note that the FUTO Direct Entry Form for the 2024/2025 Academic Session is currently available for purchase.

FUTO 2024/2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise

Candidates who are eligible to apply for the 2024/2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise must take note of the following:

  1. Application commences on August 1, 2024, and closes on August 31, 2024.
  2. UTME candidates are required to have scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME.
  3. Direct Entry candidates must possess OND/HND/First Degree and A’Level in relevant disciplines and subjects.
  4. Candidates who did not select FUTO as their first choice University but scored a minimum of 150 are eligible to apply, provided that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution.
  5. Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00).

FUTO 2024/2025 UTME Registration procedures

  1. Visit the University official website at "www.futo.edu.ng"
  2. Click on “Prospective Students” and then “Undergraduate”
  3. Select “2024/2025 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application”
  4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate Payment Invoice containing the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR)
  5. Proceed to any Bank with the payment invoice OR simply pay with your ATM Card.
  6. Return to the Application page and re-enter your JAMB Registration number
  7. Complete the form, accurately entering your O’Level results.
  8. Confirm your entries and submit your application
  9. Print out your acknowledgement slip.
  10. Await further communication from the University

FUTO 2024/2025 Post-UTME Screening Requirements

The 2024/2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise will be based on verified JAMB scores and WAEC/GCE/NECO results uploaded on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Important Notices:

  1. Candidates must provide a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communications.
  2. O’Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB PORTAL not later than August 31, 2024.
  3. Failure to register within the stipulated period will disqualify candidates from the exercise.
  4. Only candidates who successfully submit applications online will be considered for admission.
For Direct Entry Candidates:

It is essential that your academic transcript reaches The Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo state, not later than August 31, 2024. Failure to submit the academic transcript will result in the candidate being ineligible for Admission.
