Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison.
The EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) had obtained a conviction against Bobrisky on April 5 for the offense of mutilating naira notes.
Okuneye faced four counts related to the abuse of the Nigerian currency and pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos.
Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was captured in a video with friends, enjoying Mohbad’s and Chike’s Egwu song, whereby his friends were heard expressing, "We are out of prison. Congratulation Bobrisky."
