Benue State University Makurdi, BSUM matriculate 6,502 Students for its 2023/2024 Academic Session

The Benue State University Makurdi (BSUM) has matriculated 6,502 students for its 2023/2024 Academic Session.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joe-Tor Iorapuu, announced this significant milestone at the ceremony, which took place at the University's new convocation square in Makurdi. During the annual matriculation ceremony, 6,502 new students were officially welcomed into the institution.

Professor Iorapuu specified that out of the 6,502 students matriculated, 5,982 are enrolled in the regular program, comprising candidates from the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry (UTME/DE), while 273 are part-time students and 215 are enrolled in the Sandwich program.

In his address to the new students and the general public, Professor Iorapuu emphasized the importance of upholding exemplary conduct and embracing positive academic practices that would contribute to their personal development and enhance the reputation of the institution on a global scale.
