Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has issued a call for an increased participation of Nigerian citizens in the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest, which is aimed at addressing the policies of President Bola Tinubu's administration.

The former Vice President urged law enforcement agencies to handle the protests with utmost professionalism and strongly denounced the reported acts of violence resulting in the loss of innocent lives by security personnel.

He advised President Tinubu to engage in dialogue with the protesters, urging him to step down from his position and underscoring that the country cannot endure further unrest.

Atiku acknowledged the overall peaceful conduct of the protesters, albeit acknowledging occasional instances of violence culminating in confrontations with the police.

He urged the government to listen to the concerns of the populace and demonstrate a genuine commitment to addressing the demands of the protesters.
