The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) in Ekiti State, Nigeria, has enacted stringent disciplinary actions against students found to be engaged in examination malpractice.
Following the recommendations put forth by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC), the university has expelled five students and imposed suspensions on 152 others.
The students who have been expelled are as follows:
- Okeredima Delight Ozioma (Social Sciences/Sociology)
- Akanmu Yusuf Adeyinka (Civil Engineering)
- Lateef Jimoh (Social Sciences/Economics)
- Adams Tijani (Science/Mathematics)
These expulsions are effective immediately. The 152 suspended students will be subject to penalties spanning from one to two semesters, in accordance with the gravity of their transgressions.
