Former Senate Chief Whip, Ali Ndume has expressed his disapproval of Daniel Bwala, the former spokesperson of the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Ndume criticized Bwala for his recent remarks and questioned his political significance. He also suggested that President Bola Tinubu should be wary of Bwala, highlighting a lack of trust in his ability to engage in fair political discourse and implying a propensity to attack opponents.
Tensions between Ndume and Bwala have escalated due to the former's criticism of Tinubu. Ndume accused Tinubu of hindering lawmakers and ministers from addressing the current challenges faced by Nigerians.
Speaking to journalists at his residence in Maiduguri, the Borno South senator noted Bwala's apparent attempt to garner sympathy from the President. Ndume emphasized that Bwala's political standing in Southern Borno is negligible.
He recalled Bwala's previous affiliation with the APC and subsequent shift to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, during which Bwala made derogatory remarks about Tinubu on live television, suggesting Bwala's inclination towards using aggressive tactics to target individuals.
Ndume's comments underscore the discord between political figures and the issues surrounding the political landscape.
