During the commissioning of a Primary Healthcare Centre in Ndoni, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili officially recognized Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the political leader of the state.
Odili praised Fubara for defending the interests of the people given his ongoing feud with his predecessor and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Odili also urged Governor Fubara to remain cognizant of the strategic importance of Rivers State to Nigeria, given the abundant natural resources in the region.
Odili emphasized that if the state were to experience challenges, it could have a significant impact on the nation's development. In his assessment of Fubara's performance, Odili commended him for his achievements in critical sectors, particularly in the health sector, where he has focused on improving the well-being of the people.
Odili noted that Fubara's administration is in line with President Bola Tinubu's agenda, particularly in the health sector, following the recent launch of the Primary Healthcare Fellows scheme by the Federal Government. Odili encouraged the Governor to maintain this alignment with the President and his policies, which could help attract federal government attention and support to the state.
