The current economic hardship being experienced in Nigeria is attributed to the activities of terrorists and killer herders, according to Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.
In his opinion, the economy will only recover when the government employs capital punishment as a punitive measure for anyone arrested.
In a statement released by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele criticized highly placed individuals who interfere whenever terrorists are arrested. He suggested that a restructuring of the economy is necessary, allowing each state to manage its resources for the economy to stabilize. Nigeria, he noted, is blessed with abundant mineral resources that could be harnessed for economic growth.
Ayodele also emphasized that insecurity caused by terrorists and killer herdsmen is one of the reasons for the hardship. He maintained that capital punishment should be given to any terrorist caught, arguing it as the only viable solution to the problem.
Ayodele expressed confidence in the Nigerian army's ability to combat terrorism, adding that the government must provide them with the necessary resources to achieve this.
He concluded by stating that with adequate power supply and reduced terrorist activities, Nigeria would have enough resources to thrive.
