A man named Salisu Iliyasu Takakume was one of the individuals who were kidnapped by bandits in Sokoto State. After enduring 96 days in captivity, he was eventually released.
The victims were taken from Takakume village in the Goronyo Local Government Area of the state. According to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, Takakume is currently unable to walk as a result of the severe hardships he experienced while in the bandits captivity.
