The Los Angeles Lakers have recently experienced a setback with their injured players. Christian Wood, the team's big man, has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season after undergoing an arthroscopic surgery on his left knee earlier this week.
The Lakers have not provided a timeline for his recovery, but it is highly probable that Wood will remain sidelined for the rest of the regular season, according to AP reports.
In addition to Wood's absence, the Lakers are also playing without three veterans: Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and Cam Reddish. The absence of these players has led to the erosion of the team's depth, which was previously considered a solid supporting cast around the star players LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Vanderbilt has been out since February 1 with a sprained right foot, while Vincent injured his knee in October after playing in only five games in his first season with the Lakers. The team has not provided an estimated time for their return, which may indicate a bleak outlook for their prospects.
Reddish, on the other hand, is expected to return soon after being out since March 8 with an ankle injury.
